4th of July

This year's 4th of July was one of my favorites ever.  Holidays seem to just get better and better as Quinn gets older, and I'm sure it will be even better once Harper understands what is going on as well.
Nate had to work, so we went to my parent's house in the morning and hung out with them and my sister and her family.  We all went swimming together and then put all of the kids down for a nap for a bit.  When the woke up, we started barbequing and Nate was able to join us for dinner.  We then went swimming again and then changed the kids into dry clothes and went out front to set off some fireworks.  The kids absolutely loved the sparklers and poppers and Quinn was beyond excited when we started setting off the little fireworks.  We all watched those for about 45 minutes before we jumped in my dad's truck and drove up to the top of the neighborhood and walked onto the golf course to watch fireworks across the entire Vegas valley.  You could literally see hundreds of fireworks going off all over the place, it was so cool.  Quinn was a constant stream of, "Gaga, look! Papa! There it is! Wow! There it is!" over and over again.  It was so cute to watch!

Poor Harper was so sleepy by that point that she laid her little head down on the blanket, stuck her thumb in and took a little nap while we all watched.  She is such a sweetheart.

It was the perfect family day though filled with exciting things and we had a blast watching Quinn experiencing it all!
