Now for the upstairs of our home. Upstairs we have three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and our washer and dryer. Here are the before pictures:
So first is Quinn's nursery! I was so excited to design my baby girl's nursery and Nate totally let me take over. While he was busy painting the rest of the house, I just stayed in Quinn's room (the stenciling took forever!) and by the end of it I was on the verge of tears. So much harder than I thought it was going to be, but I love how it turned out and Quinn loves to lay in her crib and look at the design on the wall. I still have some nursery art and pictures that I am going to hang above her dresser and next to the window, but for now this is where my Quinn sleeps (can you see her sleeping in the pictures haha).
Our master bedroom definitely still needs a little work. We are getting a new bedspread and hopefully a headboard soon, but we do love our bathroom and big walk-in closet!
Our third bedroom is our guest room/playroom/extra room. We just threw our old tv and free couch in there and when people come to stay with us we have an air mattress we put in there for them.
And our guest bathroom/Quinn's bathroom was also fun for me to decorate. I just wanted it to be really colorful and girly for her! We still need to paint it though.
And that's our house! We absolutely love it and it has come together so great!

Our First Home - Downstairs
It only took me ten months to get around to posting pictures. I just kept waiting for it to be perfect, we did so much to change how it looked and I'm trying to decorate it and I didn't want to post pictures until it was all done. Well...it's not done. But I'm learning that it may not ever be done. There is always another project or another purchase that we want to make. I'm always looking for that perfect piece to complete a wall or the right picture to go somewhere. But ultimately, I love our home and we have really made it our own! So I am starting with the downstairs and pictures of the upstairs will be coming soon.
The only before pictures I have are from the website when it was for sale:
And after a lot of paint and a lot of time put into finding the perfect furniture, here are our after pictures:

It feels like home and I just love it!

We are Homeowners!
Well it's been a loooonnggg time coming, but Nate and I are now officially homeowners. We have been in the process of purchasing this house in particular for about 3 months and our original closing date was November 18. A lot of stress, anger, paperwork, tears, and a over a month later the house is ours and the keys are in our hands. The next few weeks are going to be spent unpacking, painting, tearing out the old carpet and putting in new, and setting up our home!

Our Humble Abode
This post is mostly for my sister, who has not been able to see our new apartment yet. Since she is one of my few avid readers, she has the right to request certain posts and I do my best to oblige.
So to begin, here is our main room.

And here is the other side of that room.

Next is our kitchen with the hallway leading back to our bathroom and bedroom.

The bathroom.

The bedroom.

And our candy arrangement, made possible by the loads given to us in our stockings and elsewhere over Christmas break.

I should have just made a video and given you a virtual tour. Sorry.
