Here I am at 35 weeks on Thanksgiving Day. (I'm almost 36 now) This pregnancy is still just flying by. I have of course been excited the whole time, but I have also been okay with waiting for the baby to get here so that I can cherish all of my last times with just Quinn and me together. But after having a few signs of labor last week (and Nate was convinced the baby was coming right then) I went through a lot of emotions. First I was kind of freaking out thinking that I was totally not ready and hadn't fully appreciated my last day with Quinn. But then when the baby didn't come, I realized that I was ready to meet her! And I couldn't stop thinking about Quinn meeting her and how much she is going to love her little sister. I keep putting together different outfits now for her to come home in and picturing snuggling her instead of trying to make space for her in my tummy. So ever since then I have mentally been ready now for this little girl to come. I even dreamt about her coming for the first time last night. All night long was one dream after another of being induced, or my water breaking, or getting hooked up in the hospital and starting contractions. My brain is definitely ready now. My due date is in less than a month now, and Quinn came three weeks early, so we're not sure what to "plan" for...but I think I am going to pack my hospital bag now that I am fully ready to be a mom to two little girls.
It also probably helps that I am pretty stinkin uncomfortable these days. I have mentioned before that I have had heartburn this time around since about week 8 of pregnancy and it has never let up. I am so ready to be able to breathe again and to sleep without being propped up on pillows! I am ready to watch her little feet kick and her hands reach for things, instead of simply feeling them trying to find more room inside of me. I can't wait to snuggle this little newborn baby!
But we do have some Christmas things I want to do with Quinn before she comes, so we're going to start tackling my list this weekend!

Baby Girl #2 - 29 weeks
My third trimester is underway and I am feeling great! I had an ultrasound yesterday and everything looked perfect. Little girl is growing like crazy at 3 lbs, 6 oz already! All of her measurements were 1-2 weeks ahead of schedule, so I'm kind of freaking out about having a big baby now. It's definitely something I never imagined since my little Quinners is such a peanut and I'm always being told that she's in the below 5th percentile. We'll see what happens though, still plenty of time to go in the pregnancy for her measurements to change! I think this little girl looks so different from Quinn in the 3D ultrasound pictures, so I'm anxious to see how similar they look once she's actually born!
The main thing that comes to mind when thinking of pregnancy symptoms right now is heartburn. Ugh. With Quinn I didn't get heartburn until much later, but I think it started around 10 weeks this time (I can't remember?) and I am DYING now! Night time is definitely the worst, but randomly throughout the day I will get horrible bouts of heartburn. It doesn't seem to matter what I do or don't eat, so I'm still just enjoying whatever I want when it comes to spicy foods and soda. I might as well enjoy the food and suffer later, instead of eat carefully and still have the pain later, right? I have a little bit of joint pain in my hands from slight swelling, nothing too much though. All of my rings still come on and off most of the time.
I feel this little girl kicking CONSTANTLY. She is always kicking and jabbing me at all hours of the day and night. The ultrasound tech said she still has plenty of space left to grow in my tummy, so I think I'll be feeling her for awhile until things get tight in there. How she still has so much room though, is beyond me.
My "cravings" include pretty much any sweets. Lots of chocolate. I particularly need chocolate chip pancakes pretty much every morning. I think Quinn is especially enjoying the pancakes I make every morning for breakfast. I also have really been needing Peanut M&Ms lately. I usually like Peanut Butter M&Ms, but lately I have only wanted Peanut? Early on in my pregnancy I had the strongest craving for Minute Maid push up frozen lemonades. The cups were not satisfactory, it had to be the lemon and raspberry pushups. This has been the most difficult craving to satisfy, turns out those things are hard to find! Luckily I found one store that carried them and stocked up. But nothing too crazy or different from my usual diet.
We can't believe how fast it's going and are getting really excited to meet our next little girl!

Baby Girl #2 - 19 weeks
Well, here we are again. We are so excited to be expecting again! We are so ready for Quinn to be a big sister and to expand our little family by one more. We found out a few weeks ago that we will be having another little girl and cannot wait for Quinn's new best friend to arrive! I am so excited to use some of the baby girl clothes that I felt like Quinn didn't get to wear enough and that we feel pretty prepared with almost everything we need for a baby girl.
This pregnancy has been pretty different from my first, which made me so sure that it was going to be a boy! But I was definitely wrong, and it has been confirmed multiple times. I felt sicker than I did with Quinn though. The months of May and June were pretty miserable, feeling like I was going to throw up all of the time. I still never did too much, but more often than with Quinn. I can't complain though because as soon as I hit 12 weeks I started feeling better and have had relief for the most part from being nauseous, which I know a lot of women are not as lucky with. I actually shared the first symptom of pregnancy with multiple people, including some friends, my mom, and some of my family members, because I didn't realize it even was a pregnancy symptom and I didn't know I was pregnant yet. I woke up one morning with my gums hurting SO bad. I felt like I had just had braces put on the day before and my gums were so tore up from the wires...but I obviously hadn't and was so confused why my mouth was so sore! Turns out that is a symptom (just not one that I had with Quinn). Luckily no one I told knew that it was a pregnancy side effect either. I have also been much more scatterbrained and clumsy lately, which I am totally blaming on being pregnant (but again never had with Quinn), and I have been much more emotional than ever. I also had my first experiences with cravings when I NEEDED Taco Bell at 11:00 at night, even though I haven't had it for yeeeaars. I never had a craving with my first pregnancy, so that was funny to me. And I had my first experience with moodiness one night when I was so angry with Nate, and literally I could feel my anger boiling throughout me, but mentally I kept thinking, "Why am I so mad right now? This is not even a big deal." It was a very weird feeling to not be able to control my anger when I was mentally not even that mad. Nate and I always commented during my first pregnancy that we couldn't even tell I was pregnant, so this has been different for us. Which is why I was so sure it had to be a boy. But still it has all been very mild and a very good pregnancy so far, I have been very fortunate once again. Hopefully the rest of the time continues smoothly.
I am 19 weeks today, and had my anatomy ultrasound this morning. Baby girl is measuring right on track and everything looks great! The past month or so I have really been feeling back to normal and have been getting more and more excited. Time is flying by and I can't believe I am already almost halfway, with less than 5 months to go until she is here. My due date is January 2. I was three weeks early with Quinn, which I would be fine with as that would be December 12. But anything later than that is a little too close to Christmas for my preference. I know I can't choose what is going to happen, so we will work with whenever she comes, but I am hoping for December 15ish or earlier, or January 2 or later. Just not in between. But as long as she gets here healthy and safe, we will be happy and make her birthday special! :)
