Twothousandtwelve

2012 was an interesting year for us. It had some of our toughest times since being married, but they were definitely outweighed by the absolute best things we could have ever imagined. Here is a list of some of those moments.

[You can find details of all of these events linked back throughout my blog if you click on them.]

It was definitely a year to remember and a year with a lot of changes. We look forward to what 2013 has in store for our family (hopefully a little more stability) and will take whatever is thrown at us together!

11 from 2011

So I thought I would write about the 11 biggest events that happened to us in 2011 to recap the year.

1. Nate took a trip to Boston with a select few of UVUs PR students.
2. I interviewed at BYUs teacher fair and found out I got a job teaching first grade at Somerset Academy of North Las Vegas.
3. Nate graduated from UVU in Communications, emphasis in public relations.
4. Nate got an internship with the Salt Lake Bees which he loved and completed over the summer.
Working the NBA draft for the Jazz.
With Whiplash the Cowboy Monkey.
Photo Shoot with SI
And he even got to play a little baseball.
5. We found out that I was pregnant!
6. I graduated from BYU in Early Childhood Education.
7. We packed up our Provo apartment and moved to Las Vegas.
8. I started my first year teaching at a brand new school.
9. We found out that we are having a baby girl!
10. Nate and I celebrated our two year anniversary, happier than ever, at the Vdara hotel in the Strip's City Center.
11. We finally closed on our house, got our keys, moved in, repainted, recarpeted, and decorated to make it our first home together.

2011 was so good to us! We were blessed with so many little miracles and a few really big ones too! We went through so many major changes in our lives this year and it brought Nate and me so much closer together. We had a truly happy year and know that 2012 is about to throw some new things at us. With the arrival of our baby girl coming this year, we are excited but nervous for what the next 12 months have in store for us. But it always helps to know I'll have Nate by my side through it all!

2010 in Review

January
Nate went back to school after taking a long break to work, and I slimmed down my classes so that I could take on 40 hours at my new job, Payless.  I also went ice skating for the first time ever and we finished decorating and putting our apartment together.

February
I celebrated my 21st birthday and Nate celebrated his 25th.  We treated ourselves to a Nuggets game with a group of friends in Salt Lake, and enjoyed our first Valentine's Day together with Nate's parents in town.
March
We were completely consumed by school and work as I had taken on a second job and was working up to 60 hours a week.  Sadly, the only picture I have from the month is of this little stinker, who we missed so much.
April
We celebrated Easter with my entire family and went to General Conference in Salt Lake.  We also took a trip to Colorado for the Rockies Opening Day.
May
After finishing the semester, we took a vacation to San Francisco and had such a great time with each other!  We started our summer semesters, but still made time for a trip down to Vegas at the end of the month for the Carrie Underwood concert that I got to go to with my mom and sisters.
June
My little brother came up to Utah for a week and we enjoyed the fun things that Utah had to offer by taking him to Park City, and we also enjoyed using our Seven Peaks passes as often as we could.
July
We kicked the month off with a camping trip with my family for the 4th of July and finished off the month with another trip to Colorado, where we went to a Rockies game and I picked up golfing.
August
We went down to California with my entire family for a vacation at Six Flags and Hurricane Harbor.  Then I spent a girls weekend with my mom, sisters, cousins and aunts down in St. George, and Nate and I celebrated our one year since getting engaged.
September
We enjoyed more golfing together, and both went back to school for full semesters.  We also enjoyed the Utah State Fair.
October
We enjoyed lots of Cougar football and Halloween, as well as a few weddings for friends and family.
November
We finished up our last intramural flag football season.  And then celebrated our first anniversary together in Steamboat Springs, CO.  It was such an amazing time!
December
We finished up another semester with excellent grades, then had a busy Christmas season in Las Vegas, Denver, and home in Provo.
We had such an amazing year together and cannot wait for what 2011 has in store for us.  It is going to be a year of big changes many life decisions.  We're nervous, but definitely excited for the future!

2009 in Review

2009 is over and so it's time to recap the year.
Here goes..

January

I started out the year trying to take advantage of Utah's Winter "joys". I snowboarded, went sledding, and even went to The Sundance Film Festival (which was very fun) but these still didn't make the cold worth it.
February

My Birthday! Nate was late and we were still "rebuilding our relationship" so he's on the end. Haha. This was also the month of our Second First Kiss, so by his birthday later in the month we had managed to announce our relationship and I even got to sit by him. ;)

March

My brother and Joey got engaged and Nate and I continued having fun together.
April
I don't have any pictures but I do have a video. I spent a lot of time with these crazy kids in Vegas in between moving from Utah to California. I just love them to pieces.
May

Once settled into California, Nate and I had so much fun together taking trips to the beach and we even went to Game 5 of the Nuggets and Lakers playoff series. We were basically the only Nuggets fans in a huge sea of LA fans booing us, but it was so much fun!
June

Luke and Jo got married so I was kicked out of the apartment in California, but was able to take another trip home and go to the lake with my family.
July

I was able to take a trip to Colorado for the 4th of July to be with my honey and to meet his family.
August

On August 16, Nate proposed to me and we began counting down the days until our wedding.
September

In September it was back to school and football! It was so much fun being engaged and together as much as possible during the "Back-to-School" days, one of my favorite times of the year.
October

We took a super fun trip to Vegas to help plan wedding details, and October was also a month of baseball playoffs...which yes, is worth documenting in Nate's life. It's a big deal.
November

First my adorable nephew was born (and he already looks drastically different from this), and then of course we got married in the Las Vegas Temple. It was a nearly perfect day and we couldn't possibly have been happier. We also enjoyed our honeymoon and Thanksgiving with my family in this month.
December

Our first month of marriage has been absolutely wonderful (although we don't have many pictures). We loved decorating our apartment for Christmas and spending time together enjoying the Christmas spirit.

2009 was an amazing year for us and we are so excited for 2010 and all it has in store for us in our first year of marriage!
